took me a god damn 1.5 hours to install my new antivirus/firewall program. i take part of the blame but if it takes like 4-5 reboots just to install and get a program running....christ.... so i'm on F-Secure atm. i know that when it works, it's reliable and that's why i wanted to give it a chance, plus i get it for free because of my job :P my Norton antivirus sub ran out and that's why i made this switch. i can always go back...i think? i wouldn't want to update to a newer version of Norton tho since it only gets worse year after year, the 2003 pro version i had was great, never let anything through. anyway i'll see how it goes with F-Secure....
i think i'm the only fair and honest chatter these days. everyone else has set themselves to 'busy' or 'away' most of the time, regardless of what the real situation is. i, however, am online when i am, and if i go away from the computer, then i am 'away'. and so forth. i remember doing the busy/away thing a lot at some point, that's when i had a lot of stupid asses on my contact list and tried to stay awat from them. but besides that, i think the other most common reason to continuously use those settings is to seem important, whether it's conscious or not. i mean, a succesful person is always busy and running around...being succesful, and important. if you're always just 'online' u're a nobody, a fuckin geek! but it's sad to look at the list of contact and NO ONE is plain online, theur all busy and away. maybne i'm the ass they're trying to avoid talking to? :D
i'm glad last.fm only shows the 5 last songs i played, people can go 'uh huh, she's listened to that 5 times in a row now!', but little do they know....;)
