My face is puffy this morning and I have to say this Wildfire is a piece of shit. Perhaps its ill and needs fixing but I am just unimpressed.

unlucky number 13?

the mornings have become difficult, im just not interested. once i get out in the fresh air i feel better, but i wish waking up wasnt so depressing.

we installed lights over the bathroom mirror - much nicer :)

tomorrow i should go over to the finnish consulate and vote! i have a few favorites but they shouldnt have trouble getting in to the parliament... so instead i will opt for someone else that i find smart, sensible, logical and so on... Muhamed Husein aka Husu. i think we really need an immigrant in the parliament...and one with good ideas about immigration and integration.

i think tomorrow is my long overdue hairdye day...

my friend VV&spouse + some of ther friends are coming here in august! yay :)

i licensed another book cover :) the publisher asked to use an image and we got into an agreement and im happy :) its a photo with Miriam on it, out of all photos!

we got flights to finland now, for the midsummer :) me for a longer period, and doctor for a little shorter, he has work... the new job is starting in a week or 2 i think.

täällä on nyt 2 päivää ollu ihan suomikeli. hirvee tuuli ja lumisade. lumi sulaa heti kun ollaan plusasteissa ja sit kadut on märkiä. mutta tää on eka kerta kun nään ihan istanbulin keskustassa satavan lunta. tämmönen takatalvi....

hesarikin omisti uutisen turkin lumentulolle.

onneksi lautat on kulkenu mulla, bussi ruuhka-aikaan ei nappais... viikonloppuna pitäs olla 12C kuitenki :)

perjantaina yks nettituttu on tulossa kavereinen kaupunkiin, sillä on turkkilainen mies mutta ne asuu suomessa. lupauduin näyttää kaupunkia vähän sillon pe. lauantaista en ole vielä varma....

mullahan on sillon synttärit :) 31.... se on jo selkeesti kolmenkympin puolella, 30 on viel niinku 20:n loppu... nyt oon oikeesti kyl sit vanha. hmm.

blue week

I left work a little earlier on wed and met Toros for a short photoshoot at the concert hall where he is performing tomorrow. I didnt have ideas or anything else - just gave it a go.

The bus stop sign is a mystery, either it is really unnoticeable or ....? I just cant see any. Yet, there supposedly are stops. Sometimes there is a wind shelter sort of. I never was and still arent too worried about it, as I realized I can just walk into the traffic and wave or knock on the door, and hop in. This type of conventions suit me well.

There is still do much to do at the new flat, its overwhelming sometimes.

today Melisa came over, we cooked some pasta with chicken and red onion and cream. delicious!

Tricks and treats

i was annoyed by all the documents that Vodafone was demanding for me to become their customer. so when on Istiklal street today i saw another Vodafone shop, i figured there they might be more open to paying customers. i was correct. after a passport copy and a signature on a contract (which i suppose they will fill in later, or not?), i had a new sim card. i am expecting problems though since everyone that i know who changed carriers had their phone 'down' for a couple of days in between. oh well. the good thing is i am learning turkish ways of managing things...

my residence permit renewal appointment is on friday morning. yesterday my employer, the school, informed me that oh btw u need to have 3000tl on your (turkish!) account and a bank statement of it. i do know that for the permit one must have 300$ for each month, but previously the school has had ... ways...of handling it. anyway, so i went to the office today, they gave me the 3000 and i am going tomorrow to deposit it, then ask for a statement, and then withdraw and return the money. what a hassle :( especially since this must be done at the very same branch where the account has been opened, other brances do not give out bank statements. lollers.

today my doctor called me while i was at work, it went like this;
D: hi kulta, would u like to go to IKEA tonight?
me: ...how...are we going?
D: i got a car
me: oh, like, did someone borrow?
D: no i bought a car
me: ...you bought a car??

...after which my co-workers were laughing. well we'd discussed getting the car but in the end his quick moves often surprise me. its a cute black car with 4 wheels and 4 doors etc... we named her Gunilla. i am thinking of getting those race car stripes on her at some point...
