Amin Asikainen is the new european pro-boxing champion (middleweight) :D it's been a while since we had that title in finland. i'm really proud of him.

suddenly, out of the blue, i decided to get a pen pal. i have trouble replying to my e-mails and dAstuff as it is...but i suddenly felt like getting to know someone new, out of my own will, someone who knows nothing about me. i simply googled 'pen pal' because i was having a braindead moment. i was thinking more in the lines of e-mailing, but google took me to 'prisonpenpals.com' so i guess i have to do it the old fashioned way. i found a guy whose in folsom prison, serving life for a 2nd degree murder. he sounds normal for a guy whose been inside for over a decade, so i decided to write him. his name is Manuel and we'll see if he will get back to me. i am the opposite of him in many ways(...), and i at least wanted to get to know someone who lives a very different life from mine.

as i browsed the pen pal ads, a few things kept repeating themselves. these people want someone sincere and honest to write to, for some reason it is of higher importance than i'd assume from the average pen pal ad. also, of course many of the inmates are looking for 'someone special' but those i have to pass. all in all they seem very lonely and promise to reply to any letters they get.
