finally back home. well, i as only away for 4 days but it was such a different world and i had all kinds of news waiting for me when i got back and so it's got extra impact....

the trip was okay, i photographed Simon Holmes as well as some golf sceneries in spain. Simon is great, very professional (i could tell even tho i don't understand golf) and easy to work with, i liked him a lot. if one wants to learn golf, he's probably the right guy to teach you, and i'm completely serious. on my trip i met 2 swedish guys who were also working there, very nice both of them, optimistic and entertaining as swedes tend to be. it keeps amazing me how swedes are always so...so swedish. the 35C heat was a killer, but i had mentally prepared so i just sucked it up... altho i had 30SPF sunblock i burned myself...u see i forgot to add it on my shoulders and neck during the day... also, a spot between my shirt and skirt on my back was apparently exposed to the sun as it burned...it looks funny;















i'm trying to imagine how i'd look like if i didn't have any sunblock...u see i forgot to bring or buy any when i went. sunblock isn't something u come to think of living in finland. anyway so i bought it in spain, was cheaper anyway.

it was pretty crazy spending 2 full days on a golf course, but i don't regret a minute of it :)

what else. tomorrow i'm giving up my 20D. the good news is that i had a tracking number waiting for me, so apparently those incompetents at the Digital Wonderworld somehow managed to send the 5D to me after all, even if a few weeks and a few dozen e-mails later. so...i guess i'm getting the 5D with a new lens. i should be shooting a british model after my siberia trip so i guess i don't have to borrow a cam for that. speaking of siberia... James, who was supposed to come with me and Tiitta, had sent me e-mail about him cancelling the trip on his behalf. if vodkatrain cancels the whole thing i'm going to be so pissed and upset.... but i think they can't at this point, with only a week left to the trip... other than the trip happening, i couldn't care less if that guy comes or not, he was a lazy bitch getting his visa done too and generally disinterested in booking the flights to moscow etc... i should've guessed i suppose. i'm glad Tiitta is going though, going alone would be nastier. we'll see.

i have work tomorrow and then i'll hopefully start a relaxing week planning my trip...
