i just saw my last espoo ciné movie this year. off screen was pretty good, but scary in how real and right it felt to me. it was based on a true story, about a guy who went a bit nuts, over widescreen tv's... and some of the stuff that he said or imagined, sounded like i could've said it. like, how the tv business is just all about making new type of tv's that they'll promote people to buy, probably with a new technique involved so u have to get a new tv if you want to follow your time and have things work. and how it's all just about creating needs. but the tv business is surely not alone in that. money is what makes the world go around... i personally think that all this digi-hype and HD shit is completely useless. the immediate, superficial quality is better but inside and everything related to it sucks ass and it's just to create more money, a human being does not need a better quality tv picture. a human being doesn't need a lot of things but at least with clothes it's fairly simple... what you see is what you get. but in the technology business... u never know what u get, probably shit. digital tv picture looks good but you need a digitalö tv or a digital receiver or something to see it. then you notice you need to buy thias and that to connect it to your old systems. and well, since you don't watch your VHS anymore you need to buy all your movies on DVD. and you need an internet to update your digital receivers software through the net. although it's useless, digital receives are full of bugs because they are new fancy technology... the updates are really needed altho the bugs get killed only maybe and one at a time. so i was saying....digital image looks really good, IF...a lot of things. if you get your shit to work. if you invest a lot of money sor starters. if you spend a lot of time thinking of all the extra cords and shit that you need to get your old shit connected to the new shit. and if there's some signal distruption in the satellite or cable, where does the problem show up first??? YOUR FANCY ASS DIGITAL TV PICTURE. how great is that?
you can then ask how would i feel if there was no development like that, on the photo/camera side either. well, against all odds i can shoot on film too. assholes.
my bf's brother Otto joined me for the movie. i don't think i would have gone otherwise. after that we has a couple drinks. we have nothing in common and that's an obvious fact but i like his company.
i have yet another work day tomorrow and then finally a day off... i have to solve some computer stuff when i got the time.
my neck and shoulder are jammed n tense. i want to go to bed.
