everyone's on youtube now...what's up with that? mnoo talked me over to going there. everyones doing these videoblogs, jesus, i am so not gonna.
Renny Harlin thoughtfully places a finland reference to each of his movies. in the covenant it was the painting of a wounded angel. i watched the movie the other night...well if i dare to call it watching, with minimal effort. and its not suitable for arachnophobics.
Kev's dad had cooked a thankgiving dinner. a chicken in the oven with stuff inside. after u take it out of the oven, u take the stuff out and put it in a separate bowl. the 'stuff' was bread, onion, apples and celeries. the stuff is called stuffing, of course :) anyway so that was that. then we watched CSI.
last night i fell asleep on coffee and cigarettes. i don't think i generally have an issue with slow paced movies, but this was improvised, too. to be honest i think they oughta leave improvasation out of movies, in tha scale anyway. i could tell its tha same stuff i've seen on stage, but good improv is works live, not in a movie. or maybe this was bad improv? maybe Jarmusch is experimenting and wanted to make a film with decent to bad improv? like, they were clearly told to use the words 'coffee and cigarettes', together, a lot. also, it kept coming up how they are unhealthy together. it just seemed fake. the repetition of what the first one said was sooo improv. and the challenging, to try and grow the scene bigger somehow. and no plot as in people met up in a bar, as if they had a meeting, but there didn't seem to be a reason for their meeting and in 5minutes later they split. it was too unreal for me. like anime but with real people. hmm, not sure what that means though.
we got some apple pie from the grocery store. went to a 24h grocery store too, tho Kev doesn't like em. called Barn something...err. anyway they were closing around 9pm tonight. probably because of the thanksgiving tomorrow. but i wouldn't hold a sign out that says '24h' when it's not really. apple pie makes me think of that movie...american pie.
