last night we did a bit of drinking. 3 on my scale. my scale is

1. bit tipsy
2. lame drunkness. this is really just a stage between 1 and 3 that u don't want to get stuck in, well unless you're in a Canadian party and want to come off as a moderate drinker to fit in. no hangover, and you retain total control of your actions.
   
3. average drunkness. nice, reasonable stage at which you're still able to function and make decisions. this is where you stop if you don't want to do anything stupid or embarrass yourself. no black outs associated with this one, some hazy memories at worst. hangover is very avoidable.
4. definitive drunkness from which there's usually no going back. this appears when you're moving from 3 to 5, you rarely actually stay at this stage. at this point you cannot stop drinking, or don't care to, and start having black outs. there's a medium to high probability of a hangover.
5. piss drunk! black outs, embarrassing behavior, going 4-wheel drive instead of walking, puking... it's all associated with this stage. definite hangover unless u sober up before passing out. but at 5, you're almost bound to pass out.

based on the video footage we shot i had a lot of fun... i wish it was publishable material but its just way too embarrassing, i'm old fashioned that way... i can embarrass myself up to a point, which i am bound to do by merely hanging out online so much, but me rolling on a couch screaming and laughing like an idiot is not really something i want to put up online after all. the fact that the video is embarrassing and i barely remember what happened makes me think i went above stage 3 for a sec there. oh well.

i need to make a point about stage 5 though, regardless of black outs and whatnot, so far i have never made bad decisions or anything seriously harmful... but it could be possibly just luck, i dunno. i'd like to think that i retain some level of self control but that might be just wishful thinking. anyway, i think i'm taking the rest of the year easy, no 5's. 3 is a good stage to be at.

we watched House episode 6 last night as well, which officially came out on tuesday, and that means... have to wait for next tuesday to see what happens next. i am having withdrawal symptoms already :(
