the great kicked-in-the-ass day

i cant say i was surprised about todays program. which began our ex-CEO (ex since last week, apparently) telliong us that the new CEO will be coming to the office in the afternoon and we will have to go through our job descriptions and blah blah...but anyways the office is moving to Mikkeli so we know what that means.... i wasnt officially laid off today, but its bound any day now. i have a month's notice so i have pretty much that plus some, to find a new job.

i think i always found a job rather easy, but i guess it depends on what youre looking for. this web communication/user interface etc. stuff is pretty specific, and most importantly, i dont wanna work full time...and that is a big issue :(

this was expected, just not as soon. i did send one job application on monday, just to start practising the whole application process. besides, it IS an interesting job. just...full time 9to5 of course. but very similar to my current work.

im gonna take the rest of the week easy. ill do whatever im asked to (of course) but i actually expect it be quiet. my closest supervisor was laid off as well. and my next closest co-worker. and, hmm, thats actually the whole company :D since the CEO was kicked out last week too.

aaaanyway i think ill stay up late tonight and have a drink. and enjoy myself, what else is one supposed to do? ever? :) want to watch some tv too and start draft those job applications... ive gotten a few tips off friends...interesting web-based companies and such :P

ive met some old coworkers in facebook, from the photolab times, interesting.
