whats disgusting is that after boxing i came home and got glued in front of the computer, instead of hopping straight into shower. i'm thinking of doing the shower thing...soonish.

the boxing gym is really finnish and old, old-fashioned too. what was odd is that there were 5 black guys in there. its just not something i'd expect to see. and the surprises did not end there, our boxing coach was a black, young guy (barely legal i assume). the situation stroke me as funny, to have a really young black guy coach me boxing in this old finnish boxing gym. i later asked where they'd found him, i thought he was nice and did a good job. turns out he's the 54kg finnish champion. well, nice.

i just got a note they put the documentary of me on youtube. i skimmed through without sound and read the subtitles, that's as far as i'll go about watching it. i'm really glad for doing it though, it was a cool experience.

i think i've reached a decision regarding my snapshot-camera. Panasonic DMC-FX07. after all these years of using Canon-cameras, why switch now? where did Canon fail, after all i was starting to look like the ideal loyal customer; having used several of their prosumer dSLR's and a couple compact cams too. well, i'll write it out since i probably need to explain it to myself as well. Canon has started to piss me off somehow, they've been the trendsetter in digital cameras for years and the IXUS-line was the first actually good looking and stylish line of compact digitals. however i feel like they've gotten stuck somewhere on their high pedestal. Panasonic, while i never appreciated their brand one bit, has been launching their lumix cams that have a Leica lens and a suberb sensor. also, i feel like they have put more effort in the video quality and functions which i think is overall still in a bit retarded stage in digital compacts. i recall seeing Mark's Leica (the same insides as these Panasonics) and the video it produced 2 yrs ago and was dumbfounded. the colors and sharpness especially were awesome. anyway, also Panasonic realized there's a market for wide angle (28mm) which has always been a rare treat in compacts, regardless of the medium. most Canon compacts start from 35 or 38mm. and i think Canon's price tag a little too brand conscious, i'm willing to pay for a brand but i dunno, i've just had enough i guess. as one final note, Panasonic's LCD's are easier to look at in the sun or from an angle, this tends to be a problem with all LCD's so coming up with a solution for that is applaudable. both brands are fuckin annoying because the MP counts are humongeous, 7 or 10 megapizels is totally fuckin unnecessary in a compact cam. but i know everyone disagrees so i rest my case. if and as my demands include a wide angle, Canon only has one option; Ixus 850IS. its pretty. for Canon's credit, altho the specs don't mention it, i think all the cams save video in .avi format, while Panasonic uses the retarded quick time... it does not have much weight in my comparison but Canon takes 1.7 frames per sec, while Panasonic can do 2 or 3fps. Panasonic has a wider variety or shutter speeds, altho that is also not my check list. and neither is ISO because i'm unlikely to use anything above 800, but the Panasonic does have 3200. then again i'm sure its pretty fuckin noisy. based on the specs, Panasonic seems to have more options and flexibility regarding white balance. most of the specs are very similar, so you could almost call them even if you wanted to round things up, a lot. however, the price tags have a difference of over 50euros/100dollars.

so if i was to watch a movie tonight, which would it be? Memoirs of a Geisha (finally)? Dirty Pretty Things? Smoking Aces?

the other night i ate beans from a a can at his place. i don't think i've ever had beans, straight. they were real good so today i bought a can of beans myself; "white beans in tomato sauce". however, these are much smaller and not as good as the ones i had before. still, pretty decent.*digs into the can with a fork*

whats disgusting is that i *still* haven't showered. but - alas - i don't feel sweaty either anymore. haha. eww.
