tax return time of the year

finally submitted my tax return. i filled most of it a little over a week ago but just didn't have the energy to finish. i think the same happened last year, according to my records i submitted it 27.1 and i recall workn´ing on earlier in january. i typically star t putting the numbers together in december but then i just cant push myself to start until january and all that time i feel a lot of pressure and guilt. HMRC of course reminds like once a week so there is no way i would forget. i mean, that's smart of them but gets overwhelming, they start bombarding like towards the end of the year and january its just non-stop. not necessarily negative in tone, they suggest webinars and youtube videos that might help and all that. occasionally someones asked me why wont i pay an accountant, but i think it would really just save a few hours of my time. granted, my stress should have a 'cost' too. but i would still have to collect all the numbers and figure out whats happened in finland tax wise, thats usually one of the most confusing bits - but only i can really sort it out.

my grandmother's sister's estate is still not sorted. dozens of signatures were needed and extracts from population registers and for deceased individuals like my mom, even more papers. now yet another paper is required, my moms estate inventory deed. i am maybe supposed to have a copy? i get stressed about papers like this. its not that i cant sort it out - i can sort anything out after all - but its uncomfortable. probably because of the unfamiliar subject matter i am not in my comfort zone. and tbh who likes to be thinking about their dead parents stuff, its not exactly uplifting.

yesterday we went for a one hour walk to Clapham Common with Niina. its nice living basically next to the park, easy access. meanwhile doctor cooked an exotic version of turkish börek, and hid the projector cables with a white cable cover. the day before that we finally put together the dinner table (IKEA Norden). its not exactly our style... but it fits which was kind of a crucial requirement. its white, too. i can live with the white but my plan is to give it a make over just to make it a bit more interesting and personal.
