new day new problems! naa today is actually okay, well so far, i just got up, its 4pm.
Kev was looking for a new keyboard and out of all the options out there, he ended up with the same as what i got :D labtec's ultra flat. i dig it, there's no wasted space so it fits on my cramped desk and it's really flat so the keys are slightly similar to that of laptops. i hate laptops but the keyboards are lovely, flat, easy, quiet.... :P
we started watching House season 3. but in just a few episodes we'll run into a dead end as season 3 is running right now.
hmm, democrats won some sort of election thing in the states. nice. i'm still diggin Bill Clinton. and i totally understand Monica, i think...not sure but i think that if i was a whatever-trainee in White House and the president of the US of A was interested in my piece of ass, i'd give him a blowjob too or more, no questions asked. just for the heck of it. i wouldn't write a book about it tho.
i went over to Mel's and Sean's tonight. shes a photographer and he owns a newspaper and a clothing store here. they have this really relaxed and cool thing going on i think. they live with two Sheba cats, and the house is cool, they made it comfortable, coffee maker in the bedroom with a timer, to get coffee in the morning u know. want milk in the coffee? sure, there's a little fridge as well :) they've simply made things comfy and practical, more so than most ppl do. and Sean, he build a movie theater in the house. that makes u think of a nice little 'home theatre set up' that a Sony magazine would advertize... but no, he really took a room and made it into a movie theatre. the door has a lock that opens with his thumb print... but that's irrelevant. the room is sound proof, the carpet and ceiling and walls, speakers and all are exactly like those in a movie theatre. the seats are movie theatre seats, the lighting is an exact copy of that in a theatre...which means u can change it and dim it out and stuff. we watched a clip from Pearl Harbor and i admit i wouldn't mind having a theatre of my own. i'm not such a fanatic when it comes to quality and stuff tho, so even if i had the money i'd spend it on something else. but i think it's very cool that someone would do what he did. not some half assed set up but to go all the way... i like the attitude they got going. i wish i had taken photos of it, i know no one believes it was actual movie theatre... the green exit sign was still missing though, it's coming in later. anyway so we had dinner and good conversation and i had a good time. the company of intelligent and liberal people is inspiring. i have to go get somethig to eat now.

oftentimes women can get further by being pretty than by being smart. yet a combo is not very well tolerated, or it seems suspicious. intelligence is not credible if it comes with prettyness. anyone else want to state obvious shit tonight?
somewhat interesting sorta blog wordspy. language log discusses the same topic with longer posts.
my bf wants me to watch inconvenient truth :( before he started watching i told him good for you, but i ain't gonna... and now he's totally serious saying i oughta see it. we have this deal, that we can ask the other person to watch or read something that we find important from a typically educational standpoint, and it works on exchange basis. so now i can ask him to watch or read something. i'm just baffled about him thinking i should know something about the global warming. i know it's all going to hell, what do i care? me buying a fridge that saves energy or whatever doesn't mean shit, and even if it did, it still doesn't mean shit! this planet is doomed. and i don't think i'll be seeing much of the warming stuff anyway. some, yea, the winters are getting lamer and stuff, but they'll keep getting lamer whether i am educated on the topic or not. and i'm not having any children.
i found this inconvenient truth-quote from imdb tho;
Al Gore: I'm Al Gore, I used to be the next president of the United States.
[laughter and applause from audience]
Al Gore: I don't find that particularly funny.
yea, me neither, if i thought of it any longer than 1 second.
someone in my spot would have their guy read feminist stuff, thinking thats evil, or smart. but i think my bf is more of a feminist than i am in many occasions, i don't need to show matches to the fuel... i am a feminist though, just not a textbook case maybe. not very hard core, and i enjoy many chauvinistic dimensions as well. that makes me sound like a bad person but i'm really just an average product of the rather chauvinist and sexist society. and i'm aware of it for fucks sakes. i'll get back to this after reading the bitchfest book.
