closing words

quite a nice cover in Economist;

and how was Quantum of Solace? well, i am really confused now, not a surprise, adding just more ingredients to the questions and uncertainty in my head. i enjoyed how the character grows and as always, how the signs of the time are so clear in the film... but im not going to try analyze any further...it is now in my processing list as is the previous movie. i should really try to figure this thing out before it gets any worse. ive been avoiding one of my favorite subjects for 2 yrs now, its getting ridiculous.

i had to buy new luggage to be able to bring my 'shoppings' with me... eh. i had been actually thinking of getting new luggage, a medium size bag... so this was the time to get it. at least i will recognize it on the belt... it shines pinkness from far away :D it is a bit bland so i might draw some flowers or something on it to give it some character.

a view of Thames

free range pork sausages!

had to have something very english. so sausages and mash, eh? was very good.

at the St. Margaret's train station last night, waiting for the train to go downtown to meet Emma. i was just sitting there when a this man walked past with his daughter, smirking at my wine drinking and commenting on it. i offered him the wine, and we changed a few words in the train before the got off. turns out hes been living part of his life in sweden. i gave him my card and he called me like 10 minutes later, having checked out my website, and suggesting we meet up today before my flight. how do i always meet people like this? it so weird, these coincidences...

i met Tony today afternoon then, after leaving Emma's place, and with all my stuff, trying to find new and cheap suitcase. we just hung out, i found a suitcase and we went for a drink in a pub down in Hammersmith, a more "real" London perhaps. it was on the way to the airport and he took me all the way there actually. we had a good chat.

a big painting someone had left somewhere at some point and someone fvound it and it ended up in Emma's room. looks great. i am amazed that someone would leave work like this behind.

the toilet door in "the court", a pub.

London is full of warnings of all kind regarding theft. but what does it mean the pub staff takes care of me???

after the pub closed at 12:30 (...) we went back to Emma's and i agreed to watch an animated movie for the first time ever. the flick was Finding Nemo. i think i mightve made a few sarcastic comments... but i dont remember much about the movie.

so yea, i went to Emma's last night, she has this tiny student apartment(room) in the heart of London, and she offered me a place to stay altho she didnt have much space really, a few aquare meters with a bed and a table and a chair. rarely are people that giving. i just wanted to see London at night with someone local, get a glimpse of their life and reality. i certainly had a good time.

all in all the trip was wonderful... and it was good to see Marianne (and Stu).
