saturday is O-ver
the week has been quick. of coooouuurse.
i met some fellow expats on thursday, american and british. later we joined other people in Karga bar, there is a facebook group for expats that organizes meetings every thursday in a different bar (like rotation). i never managed to join until now. was fun enough. mostly anglo saxons.
im trying to be a on a budget here in order to save for the unemployment days :D going well. i havent bought clothes for 2-3 weeks. and shoes for 3-4 weeks.i cant go on like this much longer though...i will just get something for 5tl/2e...
doctor is teasing me for using msn messenger for chatting. i know its stone age but it works for my needs. i cant help it.
tonight i went to Melisa's place, Cinnamon was there too, and we discussed female/male stuff A LOT... and had a nice dinner thanks to them (mushrooms & weird seeds and salad with some pretty crazy ass ginger & garlic sauce...!) after that i think they headed to europe (Taksim) and i came back to Kadiköy and met with Volkan and friends. they were in a meyhane (local meze & fish) restaurant but then we went to Hera which seemed to have a 70s night going on and someone ordered tequila sprites...??!! uh, anyway, it was wild. im glad i left while i was still conscious.
kadiköy market area in the night. the shops are closed and the trash is out...
me and Cansu, sitting on the street. and these shoes make it look like i have no toes...not good! either way "street drinking" is economical.
nice graffitis near our home.
Hera terrace at night. tomorrow is their 5yr anniversary.
turkey has probably hundreds of different kinds of cheese... at least dozens and dozens. i am still confused and dont really care... but this one still buffles me:
the Meyhane, i could literally walk in and sit on the chair through the window. and i did.
so some things i was wondering: if evolution created women with pubic hair and men with foreskin, then why the fuck is it so popular to get rid of them? without going soooo deep into the analysis, i admit that ive grown to like it that way(without), and i wont be bothered to be ashamed, and i use the word grown as no one is obviously born with that idea. it really depends on what yo get used to. but it is a bit fucked up, is it not?
also something i have not researched yet, but the marriages of imams interest me. they do get married. which means they must get divorced too, voluntarily or with a fight...statistically it must happen. and what if an imam has a faulty alarm clock and does not wake up for the 5:30am (or whatever) prayer call?? what will happen? and what if they developed a bad cold during the night and the yod...prayer call doesnt work - they lose their voice? maybe there are solutions? i know the world renowned pianist Fazil Say just got into trouble with his islam related comments so i should keep mine inside i guess.
i should try some different make up things, i should buy more colors and just go out there...!
i was reading another piece of news about the doctor shortage in finland. prior to the communal elections tomorrow the politicians are arguing on how to solve this problem, among other things. the aging population especially is putting stress on the healthcare system. i smile to myself thinking i will do my share and import one specimen into the country in due time.
i figure if i strat working from home more, with IT stuff or in general, i should have 2 screens or 2 computers. if and since my work is related to proxys and other connection things i think it means 2 computers. i think i should take TURKPUPU back on the side and have a personal & work computer.
in the past week we also bought a UPS for 110tl/45e because my SUPERPUPU is veeeery sensitive to powercuts, she loses some of her BIOS and reboot settings even if she is on hibernate! wtf??! just a 1 sec powercut fucks her up. those happen occasionally during the night when she is on hibernate. but with this UPS i already saw the magic working, she stays safe through the small cuts :) the UPS makes beeps so i know whats going on. its great. we also bought a small oven...without going further it was disaster, the oven looked like it had been thrown around, really asymmetrical and fucked up, but we need to wait until after holidays to send it back to the online shop (hepsiburada - turkey's #1 online webshop).
