i've dived into the world of finnish music again. i got a big file of favorites as voted by the listeners of a big radio station. some of the names on the list surprise me, like Stratovarious and many many CMX songs. neither band is bad, but i'm like...the songs get on my nerve. i'd actually rather like their music than dislike it, but i can't help it. Raptori's Oi Beibi keeps amusing me, its good people have sense of humor. the song is a classic in a weird way i suppose? the lyrics are hideously pornographic in a naive and humorous way. i was happy to see YUP presented on the list with several songs, even tho for some reason it doesn't work for me so well, i just appreciate them loads. then there's Timo Rautiainen, another artist who gets my respect but whose music just doesn't do it for me, the heavy riffs or sounds have a tendency to make me anxious, which is the same reason i never liked foreign bands such as Tool or System of a Down. the list was saturated with Apulanta which made me happy, they deserve it, i'm not objective when it comes to them but they're awesome. Kotiteollisuus is too heavy as well, it seems to be really popular but i can't listen to it. it kinda bugs me everyone else is such a fan of them and its like something was wrong with me.

i listened to Tiamat when i was a goth and some of their stuff was decent so i decided to go back to them and see what else they got. their first album Sumerian Cry got a pretty negative response from me delete ...delete...delete... i can't even explain the music, its the epitome of what gets me anxious and nervous and upset and pissed. check it out. as for the stuff i did like, it was the albums Wildhoney and a Deeper Kind of Slumber. much more easy to listen to and melodic, melancholic...a little emo yes, but what do u expect from a gothic band. the album 'Judas Christ' seems promising... melodic and mainstream enough for my tastes (i mean, its sad but clearly i am quite mainstream, what can u do).

i need blueberry pie with vanilla sauce.
