fuckin finally. we have flights to Asia. the party consists of me and him, and with the millions of options of destinations and prices that change every hour it was probably the easiest to have only 2 people trying to make decisions. since thailand and far east are so booked and it looks quite desperate, i just got us direct flights to Mumbai from Finnair, 333e. so we get to the right continent nice and easy (and cheap :P), and from there we can see where we wanna go. well, its pretty obvious, i'm going to a fuckin island. i don't care if its Malaysia or Indonesia or whatever. but the flights within Asia are cheap and not so full yet, we have some time to think about it. the search was getting quite frustrating so i need a few days of vacation from this... now that i know i have a ticket to Asia i can sleep well at night. i wasn't planning on checking out India just yet but whatever. not that a few days in Mumbai really counts as checking out...ehheh. Mumbai was on my list of places to see being one of the biggest cities in the world (13-19million). Tokyo usually takes the top spot with its population that's up to 34million by some estimates. but Mumbai is the most dense by far anyway, that must make it tough for a finn used to having her own space...

not that this weight is lifted off my shoulders, i could consider cheering up and cleaning up and whatnot. yesterday was a sushi day and i wonder if today is a sushi day too? i should perhaps dye my hair again. tomorrow is the booze cruise after all, and then i got work and then... yea i suppose i have to go buy hairdye. my work e-mail inbox is busy as people joining the cruise (there's 10 of us, + 1 gf and 1 bf) are discussing where to go before the cruise for starters... there's a happy hour in a couple downtown bars, sparkling wine for 1e and so forth... but i'm hesitating a bit. we begin the cruise in the boat buffet, "unlimited wine" etc. this alone makes me worried. and if i go for sparkling wine before getting on the boat... i'm not sure if i can make it through the night, both of those go to my head faster than i can think. would require extreme self control to stay on my feet past midnight. ridiculous :( so maybe i should just skip the starters? speaking of alcohol i've been wondering if my heavyish alcohol and caffein use are involved in making my skin so dry. both are diuretics after all, and my intake of water has not increased for sure. either way, i am now testing 3 different creams to see which really works best for this situation. i love tests. so i have divided the dry parts of my face in 3 test areas. i set this test to start yesterday so tonight i will have the first preliminary short term results.

last night, when i couldn't sleep, i was wondering how life is much like internet connection. earlier i discussed with him, how life is a nice deal in the sense that you are able to terminate the contract at any time. not a lot of services are like this! then again, as he pointed out, usually the services are terminated from the service providers behalf. this is true, and also very often without prior warning. being a customer long enough seems to validate a termination. could be also u just forgot to pay your bills... anyway this is a rare type of contract as both parties are able to discontinue the service at any time and without prior notice. you can't really say there is trust between the customer and the service provider, is there? of course, with some people the situation is they just don't know how to use their connection. and sometimes the connection is theoretically working but you just don't seem to get an IP. or maybe you fuck up and set your modem in a stand by-mode? hmm. the most annoying situation is when the connection is supposedly working but occasionally the ping doesn't go through and theres a lot of packet loss. i think we all know how that feels! well, my 'connection' seems to be working right now and i hope we can still continue this contract for some time...

now off to the post office, i have something there i need to pick up...
