end of the yr survey re:2007

1. What did you do in 2007 that you'd never done before?
i partied on all the general finnish holidays; labour day, midsummer, christmas and new year. and for the first time i got myself a 'serious' job. i went to mass tourism spot for a holiday! i bought a cell phone.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i don’t make new year’s resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
thankfully no

4. Did anyone close to you die?
thankfully no

5. What countries did you visit?
spain (canary islands), uk, malaysia, india, holland

6. What would you like to have in 2008 that you lacked in 2007?
more creativity or motivation to create

7. What date from 2007 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
hmm, im not good with dates. but we agreed that january 17th was the day F and i started dating, altho it started as a more unofficial fling. so i might remember that a while, depends ;)

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
the new job, perhaps. making this relationship successful, i didnt really think at first that we have a chance (well i can only take 50% of the credit).

9. What was your biggest failure?
failure might not be descriptive but i do feel upset for not being active in photography. i just didnt feel like it. also, i think my alcohol use increased way too much this year and hence i guess i could say i failed at...self-control?

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
no. well depends what is an illness but nothing worth mentioning now i think.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
a tattoo. my cell phone has been a good friend as well.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
cant think of anyone. weird question.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
*shrugs* no ones?

14. Where did most of your money go?
shopping and traveling as usual

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
well the relationship with F, sort of. and the christmas party at my old job. oh and my new job in general.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? if compared to the exact date of january 1st, probably happier, but as for in general, sadder i think.
ii. thinner or fatter? bit fatter
iii. richer or poorer? the same or richer

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
i did my best that has to be enough

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
i dont regret things. but i couldve done less drinking i suppose.

20. How did you spend Christmas?
at home alone :) in the evening, Arttu and Otto came to visit me though.

bygones. i was at a party.

well, looks like thats exactly what happened. i guess that makes me lucky? and ready to be broken one of these coming yrs.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
as negative as i am, im not sure i am bothered enough to hate anyone? maybe if someone really close to me was horrible enough, but theres no one like that right now.

a new job.

my computer to work properly...grr

did i see any movies made in 2007? uh. oh, Grindhouse!

i don’t remember, but i bet i did nothing special cos that’s the way i like it. 27.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
winning the lottery? well, taking tons of great fuckin photos perhaps...

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2007?
ordinary, with rock and punk influences. girly as always. lots of pink and black, some grey too.

34. What kept you sane?
i don’t think my sanity was too seriously threatened but if it was i don’t see what was it that kept me sane, medication?

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
i guess i keep fancying our president Tarja. but like really fancy, perhaps no one.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
just name one...

37. Who did you miss?
a girl who was a close friend of mine, and just generally some people im not in touch with anymore

38. Who was the best new person you met?
met several cool ones! F's twin brother. F's israeli friend Avner. and Simul in India. oh and Susanna in London!

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2007.
didnt learn shit. hehe. maybe i learned vague abstract things that are difficult to put into words. i learned one should be open to new things, new ways of doing things, open to change.
