neverending hassles

today i ended up sleeping instead of work. my flu has not given up and while sneezing had gone away and i was just left coughing, now its back. this morning i had to run around in banks, 3 times... ... at the first time when i deposited and withdrew 3000tl i got a statement but they didnt put a stamp on it - and stamps are veeery important in turkey. also, i noted that i didnt present any kind of an ID on the first visit. the second time was just general waste of time to get a stamp (didnt get) and 3rd time someone from the school came with me and we did the installment again - to get the stamp.

this would all have been easier and i could have arranged it all by myself and very legally if i had been told in time. with 3 day notice there was not much i could do. and so, a hassle ensued. typical but annoying.

during all this banking business i was feeling quite tired and weak so then i just returned home and slept until early evening. since i have my (so far) last english class tonight. i felt my body neede some extra rest to heal.

yesterday i also got passport photos. paid 15tl and got...16?? enough for a few official papers.

tomorrow morning i have an early wake up to go to the police station with other teachers. we have an appointment at 9 and the station is far on the other side.

today a local cat i recognize ran towards me on the street, begging for cuddling. i gathered s/he must be hungry so i walked 20 metres to buy her some meat from a kebab place. 1 lira granted me a nice chunk of chicken meat which was enoug to feed 2 kitties! yay :)
