the sad case of my E71 and a lost sunday evening

i decided to sacrifice my sunday evening to the estimated 3-4 hour fight with a nokia phone. i need to empty it to sell it and get cash. windows 7 is supposedly compatible with E71... but the truth is no OS is compatible with this piece of genius engineering... i keep connecting the phone, hoping something happens even if just an error message that the drivers cannot install and blah blah blah... at the end i might just have to resort to somehow deleting everything - if its even possible from the phone OS.

Nokia Suite installation failed, says my computer. how expected.

i had to give up and just do a hard reset (*#7370#). lost everything but at least it is now in selling condition.
