news: the first woman to head US secret service.

the new finnish passport has a walking moose... youtube video.

i will be curious to see if the PKK & turkish governments cease fire will last. i dont dare to be very hopeful. but of course i still hope.

i went out to Taksim today to meet Carilyn and Hanna for coffee/dinner/drinks. we went to My House, a fancy restaurant that suddenly seemed to turn into a tango bar at 10pm. well, nice. the view was great too. but service was shit and they added a 10% service charge on the bill. some restaurants do that but i try to avoid those.

i was talking about the upcoming movie Before Midnight to Carilyn & Hanna, and they didnt even know the prequels - i was like whaaaat?! some of the most romantic movies in history. i have a thing for dialogue movies though...  the other night doctor had a night off work (wow, thats rare...) and when i found out that he hasnt seen Lost In Translation, we watched it. it is a hypnotical film, sets you in a mood...kind of somber, but not sad. what did he say to her at the end?

me and Carilyn had a late brunch on sunday. i decided to try this new restaurant down from our flat with her, and it had the most wonderful garden in the back. we were very comfy there and i wanna go back some time.

me and doctor had a "date" sunday evening. he had booked a table at 360. its at the top of a Hilton hotel. a very 'refined' restaurant, im used to something less amazing, but i wont complain, they had muscat wine and we enjoyed a bottle.we had a romantic evening.

nice view of the Boshphorus all the way to Europe (the shore in the back).

the menus were huge.

nice decor, there is no denying.

interesting lit bottle tower...
