Brussels

i was watching finnish shark tank (Leijonan Luola) and there was an enterpreneur with a tights business. i wanted to love it cos obviously ive worn my share of bad tights. and good tights. and just tights in general! i dont wear pants at all so its tights at least 9 months of the year...  anyway, the USP of these tights was pretty much "more comfy, high waist". and maybe add "local" (instead of made in china). aside from made in finland, it's not that unique. but okay, if u could make really comfy, fitting tights cheap, right? but of course they were really expensive (35eur). if it solves a problem, maybe people are willing to pay? thing is, this problem has been solved by a few companies. comfy high waist tights certainly exist already. so for them to claim it's uncharted territory was a tad annoying.  theres - just off the top of my head - Heist, Swedish Stockings, Snag (no wide waist but very good comfy high fit nevertheless) and Sheertex, of course. i say Sheertex of course because sheertex really has that exact high & wide & soft waist, a good fit, AND, they dont break. unlike the finnish tights. sheertex are normally a bit more pricey than the finnish ones, but on sale (which seems to be often) the same or even less. aside from fit, i've always found breaking an even bigger issue. so i think sheertex is the best thing since sliced bread. but looking at "just" a comfy fit, Snag tights does it way cheaper at about 9£ per pair. Snag have an even wider selection of sizes than the finnish (or any other) brand, as well as a huge selection in general (of colours and patterns). and i know the finnish brand used some recycled materials, but so does sheertex for instance, so that aint new either. i'm sure soon everyone will (lovely). feels bad to be so negative. actually im sure the finnish tights are great, it just wasnt anything new for me and the price point disappointed me.

we did a long weekend in Brussels. it was my first time, second for doctor. he also wanted to take me to Bruges for a day. cute town. the eurostar is only 2 hours which made travel really smooth. next i wan to take the train to amsterdam.

i admit going inside the EU parliament was not my idea, doctor was really keen on going. great idea, actually. our application to rejoin EU was not accepted though.

Bruges

plenty of old buildings as is common europe.

i wondered why it says "old england" on this building.

this bar-restaurant was fun, clearly catering to 70's and 80's belgian pop with euro elements. it was fun.

went to Barbican with Jenny, there was a rock photography exhibitin that i enjoyed.

we played crazy golf at Swingers with Raissa & Aleks. they had a balcony with these hanging  flowers and things. fun night but it was a bit overbooked i felt like.

when i woke up today and doctor heard me from the livingroom, he brought this menu to me to pick my brekkie. such a romantic thing, i just melted. i picked #3 and it was tasty.
