just watched Intermission with Kev. it was alright, but rarely do i find language that interesting in a movie. the thick irish accent and the way these guys raped the language (dialect to put it nicely) was really intriguing and i loved it. i had mi subtil's of coars... wouldn't have understood a bloody word without em. also, reminded me i was supposed to go to Ireland one of these days.... trying to remember the name of the place. *looks at map* Galway it was. i met this guy...hmm, i'm not too good with names, but anyway i met this guy from Ireland in the summer, he was with the bunch of guys we ran into in Siberia, and me and Tiitta showed them around in Helsinki when they got there. the Irish fella had such a thick accent too...he'd been on the road for like a year by that point. anyway, i said i'd come over to Galway one day. Belfast and Dublin would be interesting too. if one needs an excuse to watch intermission, which one should not need since the movie itself really is decent, it'd be Colin Farrell or Cillian Murphy, whichever rocks your boat.

i spent the past hour (and will probably spent the coming hour as well) reading Tucker Max's stories of his life. his description of himself from the frontpage

"My name is Tucker Max, and I am an asshole.

I get excessively drunk at inappropriate times, disregard social norms, indulge every whim, ignore the consequences of my actions, mock idiots and posers, sleep with more women than is safe or reasonable, and just generally act like a raging dickhead
."

anyway, this event of Tucker trying anal is hilarious.

and another fairly funny one.

now i'm looking for good books on torture. i've always had interest for it of course, but i never got a book on it. how did i get here? i was reading the news, and there was an article of world's largest containership Emma Maersk. i've always wondered about Maersk...is it scandinavian or what? i go to wikipedia, and read about the company. it's danish. which reminds me of the fancy ass bridge they have connecting denmark and sweden, it's pretty fuckin long. not the longest though i assume. i have a recollection that the longest bridge was in the south of US. i wiki bridges, indeed, it is in louisina. i then proceed to read about the longest suspended bridges and longest oversea bridges. on the wiki site of bridges i recognize a familiar bridge; Charles Bridge in Prague. and once again i spend a good 30 or so seconds wondering in which country is Prague in. the bridge was impressive, but i don't recall bothering to cross it, there was a much more interesting museum of torture by the bridge i wanted to go into. and that is how i got into the subject of torture :)
